Solstices and Equinoxes

If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, you would experience the following, or the opposite if you live in the Southern Hemisphere and we are not to sure what happens if you live on the Equator!

Summer Solstice

The “longest day” and “shortest night” of the year, which is June 20th or 21st (depending on where you live).

Winter Solstice

The “shortest day” and “longest night” of the year, which is on December 21st (depending on where you live).

Spring or Vernal Equinox

Equal hours of daylight and darkness.

Autumn Equinox

Equal hours of daylight and darkness.
